This is a loose connective tissue. The EF refers to elastic fibers. The C refers to cartilage and N refers to nucleus.

Histo-Tips: When picking up a tissue ribbon after sectioning, do not grab the ribbon with the tweezers but gently scoop it up so it does not tear the sample.
