Histo-Tips: When trying to discriminate between a small artery and an arteriole, look for the number of cell layers. Arterioles have a thickness of only 1-2 cells while small arteries have at least 3.
It looks like you have found elastic fibers, but not elastic cartilage. The chondrocytes themselves should clearly visible within lacuna that are clear. I can see the elastic fibers but not the cartilage- please go back and look again.
