Do you want to develop a sense of place and get to know the local landscape and its wild inhabitants? Are you interested in learning about career paths and research opportunities in field biology, ecology, evolution, and conservation biology? Then take some time to participate in the field trips and presentations organized by the UMass Field Biology Club. The UMass Field Biology Club is sponsored by the Biology Department, however participation is open to all Five College students with an interest in field biology.

The FBC will provide several types of opportunities for students. The club will organize trips to local natural areas lead by biologists with expertise in such areas as botany, mammalogy, ornithology, herpetology and other subdisciplines in organismal biology.
