Spiders and Insects of New England Fields

Trip Location: Quabbin Reservior, MA

Transportation: We will be leaving from the Morrill parking lot. We have a limited number of seats in a van. Please contact Peter Houlihan at peteh@bio.umass.edu if you need a ride.

Date and Time: Saturday, Oct. 4th, 9 am to noon.

Description: During this trip you will be using sweep nets to capture invertebrates found in fields around the Quabbin Reservior. Skye will help you identify what you catch and answer your questions about their ecology and behavior.

This trip will involve walking through fields. The fields may be wet. So, bring adequate footwear and if you like bring waterproof pants. Pack a snack and make sure to bring plenty of liquids.
