The insect seems to be a maggot or larva of some species. It is a creamy off white with a chestnut brown head. It uses its front 4 legs to pull itself along in squirming motions, using its back two legs to push its body forward. The maggot waves its head around, exploring the plastic cup containing it. As it moves its whole body can be seen pulsing and writhing. It has a row of dots along each side of its tubular body. The body is soft and matte while the head is shiny and hard like a shell. The specimen has a difficult time crawling around the smooth surface of the plastic, it’s feet gaining no traction. It stays in one place while its feet move back and forth fruitlessly. The body of the insect curls and uncurls on itself and as it tries to moves, ripples are spent down the rest of the body. It’s body is ridged, with creases like a brain or caterpillar. It is likely to grow into some type of winged insect like a fly or moth. This insect never stops moving. Its head is always waving back and forth with it’s feet constantly feeling. It is 2.5cm

When prodded it reacts by clenching up its entire body and curling away from the stimulus. It demonsatred the ability to walk backwards when in distress. It does not move quickly but moves much quicker when provoked to. It has the ability to move every single part of its body. Its front legs are hard and look like spikes while its back legs are soft, and appear to have a flat bottoms reminiscent of something like a suction cup. While the body is a creamy off white it’s skin is translucent and internal anatomy can be observed. There is a darker line running down the back of the specimen but it appears to be closer to a vein than anything remotely like a back bone. It also has two back feet on the very end of it’s body with 6 soft feet underneath the body closer to the head of it. The two ends of it appears to be darker than the middle section, indicating that there is a denser collection of organs in these locations. Two projections can be seen from the head, these look like sensory organs used to collect information about its environment. It also has small nearly invisible hairs coming off the head and general body.
