This site documents research and techniques for lab rearing Tiger Beetles (Coleoptera: Carabidae).
The Elkinton lab at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst has inherent interests in both population dynamics and insect conservation and is exploring the intersection of these two areas with Tiger Beetles. We primarily intend our methods to be used by governmental agencies and NGOs as conservation and management tools.
