Podos elected President of Animal Behavior Society

Curator of Birds Jeff Podos has been elected the 2017-18 president of the Animal Behavior Society (ABS), the discipline’s principal scientific society in the Western Hemisphere. As president, Podos will chair ABS’s executive committee, which is responsible for arranging the society’s annual conference, overseeing student research and travel award competitions, selecting distinguished researchers for society awards and supporting society members in research, education and outreach. The ABS, with its European sister society, the Association for the Study of Behavior, edits and publishes the discipline’s flagship journal, Animal Behaviour.
