Reminder: We are holding a cool demonstration in collaboration with
the UMass Jiu Jitsu RSO Tuesday, March 3rd at 7:30 in Tobin 521B.
We’ll learn about Jiu Jitsu (no previous experience necessary) and
motor control in the BRAIN. All are welcome, see you there!
Welcome back everyone!
On behalf of the B.R.A.I.N., I'd like to announce our first meeting.
We will meet @ Tobin 521 at 7:30~8:30PM on Tuesday, Feb. 10.
This is a great opportunity to meet other students/faculty that are interested/involved in neuroscience fields, hear about activities you can participate in, and get free food!
Hope to see everyone there :)
Hello!
Just to remind you guys, there is a really great Neuroscience and Behavior (NSB) talk today (Monday Nov 10) in Tobin 521B.
It is about our ability to learn by observing others, and it sounds like it will be very good! (I'm excited!)
If you get to go, it would be great for you to bring a little something you learned from the talk to Wednesday's meeting for the 'Neural Tidbits' share time (no pressure, though).
This is a great opertunity to meet professors in the NSB program and explore your own interests (!) by seeing what's out there. Enjoy!
Love, The B.R.A.I.N.
There is a Neuroscience Meet and Greet coming up on Oct. 15th from 4 to 5:30 PM (same day
as our Neuroscience meeting) @ Tobin 521. Eat some free food, network and represent B.R.A.I.N.! :) I'll be making a Facebook Event for this.
**IMPORTANT: PLEASE invite all Neuro members you know to this event!! You can
only invite people you're Facebook friends with, and I'm not yet FB-friends with
everyone in the society!**

A few of us usually volunteer at the veteran's affairs hospital on Sundays at 1pm. We have been working in the nursing home unit, playing games and helping people get to activities. If people express interest, we could start expanding our outreach to the drug rehabilitation unit.
If you would like to volunteer or learn more about volunteering, post something here or email me at peter.krafft@gmail.com
If anything changes and I remember that this discussion topic exists, I will post updates here.
You can check out the VA webpage here.

The B.R.A.I.N.S. will be setting up a table at the Activities Expo (see more info below). The fair runs from 4-7PM, but we will be setting up at 3:45PM.
We need as many people to help out because some officers/members have classes throughout the day.
There is an Officer's Meeting tomorrow, Thursday, in Tobin 421 at 5PM. The Officer's Meeting is for Officer's ONLY. Members, keep an eye out for General Body meetings coming up soon.
P.S. Thank you Thalia for the notice!
