Neuroscience Club Meeting November 14, 2011 -- Notes by Emmett Fitzpatrick
Speaker: Gail Hornstein http://www.mtholyoke.edu/acad/facultyprofiles/gail_hornstein.html
Who Owns the Mind?
- With Mental Illness, how does the brain go awry?
- Who has the right to say anything with authority about the mind?
Mental Health Professionals, Psychiatrists, etc.
Well, what about patients diagnosed with psychiatric disorders?
- Point: We don’t know much about how the mind works.
