HHMI Entering Mentoring Seminar

ABOUT THE SEMINAR:

The HHMI Mentoring Seminar is held every Spring semester. Led by Dr. Randy Phillis, this seminar is for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows who mentor students in research and classroom laboratories. The seminar will meet every other week starting Feb. 5. Participants will discuss the role and responsibilities of a mentor, and will explore teaching expectations and challenges. The group will use the guide “Entering Mentoring” developed by HHMI Professor, Jo Handelsman, and her colleagues and co-founders of the Wisconsin Program for Scientific Teaching at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
