The goal of this activity is to collect data about the price of various computer operating systems. Please visit the web store of a vendor you use (or might use) to get current pricing for an operating system you're interested in. The form includes the following fields:
- OS
- Select one of the operating systems from the list. We've tried to provide the obvious ones, but choose other if you can't find an appropriate category.
- Comment
- This is for providing additional specficity, e.g. if you pick 'MacOS' you might put the version number here (7, 8, or 9). Or for 'Win2000' you might put 'Professional' or 'Server'.
- Reseller
- Please put the reseller who is offering the pricing, e.g. MicroWarehouse or Apple.
- Seats
- Select the number of machines you can legally install for the price.
- Clients
- Select the number of clients (CALs) you can legally use with the operating system.
- Price
- Please enter the price in dollars.
