In situ hybridization showing expression of lim3 (left) and the hedgehog responsive gene nk2.2 in the developing zebrafish pituitary gland. Lim3 is expressed throughout the entire adenohypophysis, while nk2.2 is expressed only in the anterior region, showing patterning. Images created in the Karlstrom lab.
